It’s become a tradition. Each year on April Fool’s Day, LloydMartin transforms our menu and attitude into a totally different kind of restaurant (last year we did Chicharron). This popup usually lasts for only one night, but this year, we’ve decided to extend it to four days of fun… Sloppy Hog BBQ!
From April 1st through 4th, LloydMartin will be serving barbecue eats, flavorful sides and appetizers, and complimenting cocktails instead of our usual fare. The menu is subject to change, but for now we’re planning on the following:
BBQ Pork Rinds
Smoked Butter Popcorn with Parmesan & Chives
Deviled Eggs with Candied Bacon
Romaine With Oregon Smoked Blue Cheese Dressing
Skillet Corn Bread, Smoked Honey Butter
Mac & Cheese, Aged Cheddar, Jalapeno, Pork Craklins
Maple Bacon Baked Beans
*comes with loaded potato salad & slaw
Pulled BBQ Tamworth Pork*
Baby Back Ribs in Lloyd’s Brown Shugar BBQ*
BBQ Shrimp with Grits, Gravy & 75˚Egg
Duck Leg with Huckleberry BBQ*
Rabbit Leg with Mustard Sauce BBQ*
chocolate peanut butter rice crispy
Gentleman Jack is sponsoring this popup restaurant event (check out the T-Shirts!), so the cocktail menu will feature some fantastic whiskey cocktails such as Lynchburg Lemonade and Spiked Sweet Tea. NW Peaks is also putting together some beers for us to highlight for the popup, so expect some BBQ-friendly brews on tap.
Make your reservations now, to ensure your enjoyment of Sloppy Hog BBQ!
In other news, we updated our cocktail menu last week – click here to check it out. We’re also getting an incredible orange wine from Almquist Family Vintners, as soon as they’re done labeling it, so we should have that in by May 1st. Orange wine is made when the juice from Pinot Gris is left in contact with the grape skins for a longer amount of time. This creates a unique flavor and the beautiful orange color.
We hope to see you soon!
