Chef Sam Crannell has had some media love in the last month! First up, Eater Seattle’s Jason Price got filled in on the attractions of Sam’s favorite meat haunts for his new column, Carnivore’s Dilemma. Along with several other notable Seattle chefs, Sam was featured in Seattle Magazine’s “Where Seattle Chefs Dine Out”. Check out his spotlight online, or look for him on page 106 of the Seattle Magazine’s November issue.
We’re really excited to have Egg & I Pork in right now. This excellent pork comes from Chimacum, WA, and is raised on 100 percent GMO-free barley, oats and wheat that’s also grown locally. Their diet is finished with shelled whole hazelnuts to give their meat the perfect marbled texture and great flavor. Enjoy this wonderful pork right now in our Pork in Phyllo, with chestnuts, golden raisins, apple, and fermented huckleberry.
In booze news, we tapped a fantastic Hofbrau beer the first week of November. This is an excellent winter brew that is crisp, clean and delicious. Just in time to cut the chill, we’re making real Hot Toddies to-order and our Foie Gras Hot Chocolate is back, served with chocolate chip cookies on our dessert menu. If you’re looking for libations that are beyond awesome, don’t miss out on our barrel-aged cocktails – ask Shane to tell you more. Fall and winter wines are here! Our offering features bigger, robust wines to pair well with the heartier winter dishes we’re serving.
Coming up in the next couple of weeks, we have some events (holiday and not) to mark on your calendar…
We’re hosting a holiday party with Robert Ramsay Cellars, Queen Anne Olive Oil, and Chocolopolis. The idea is to combine some delicious food and drink (chocolate, wine, olive oil, and LloydMartin fare) with holiday spirit! Basically, we’re having a child and it’s going to be freakin’ fantastic. Drop by the Robert Ramsey/Queen Anne Olive Oil area on Sunday, November 30th for a sort of holiday open house. There will be wine tasting, tasty bites, chocolate, and more from 2 – 5 p.m.
Please make a note that we will have normal business hours (Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. until closing) during Thanksgiving week, except for Thanksgiving Day when we will be closed.
Mark your calendars for December 13th, when we will host a traditional Steakhouse Dinner Party. The event will feature custom 50-day dry-aged Nieman Ranch grass-fed natural prime rib, with classic steakhouse side dishes. The price is $110 per person (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity). Dress is black tie. Seating is limited, so make your reservation while space is left!
If you plan to celebrate New Year’s Eve at LloydMartin, now is the time to make your reservations! Our fixed-price dinner is $125 per person and wine pairings with each course for $75 per person (tax and gratuity not included). Call 206-420-7602 to make your reservation. Join us at Queen Anne’s finest restaurant to experience new cuisines and ring in the New Year of 2015.
