The weather’s warming up, and we’re very excited to see some amazing fresh produce come into season to serve up at the best restaurant in Queen Anne. Right now, you can drool with us over morels, peas, fava beans, fiddlehead ferns – they’re all just beautiful! Summer truffles aren’t quite here yet, but you can bet that we’ll be all over them once they are.
Tamworth pork has been a staple on the LloydMartin menu for months, and with the spring slaughter time approaching in May, we will have even more tasty cuts to feature. We’re looking forward to that, for sure. In the meantime, excite your palate with 100-day Prime, dry-aged Neiman Ranch NY Strip.
If you’re a regular LloydMartin-er (which you should be if you want to dine at the best restaurant in Queen Anne), you may have noticed that we’ve been changing up the structure of the menu lately, and now include a special chef’s tasting menu. Chef Sam Crannell has selected his favorites from the main menu, added something extra special to each, and listed them on a tasting menu for $60/person. Think Deviled Egg with sturgeon caviar and Hamachi crudo, Foie Gras Torchon on toast, and that NY strip we were talking about earlier with some whipped smoked bleu cheese, ramps and asparagus.
And what’s to go with all of those savory dishes? Booze, of course! Add a beverage pairing to your tasting menu for $50/person. Or, you can order up a glass of one of the delicious wines by the glass we have right now. In reds, try The Huntsman 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon from Ross Andrew Winery, or Tenuta Montecchiesi 2012 ‘Preziosaterra’ Rosso Toscano. Better yet, try an amazing sparkling Vouvray: 2012 Chateau Moncontour Vouvray Cuvee Predilection Methode Traditionelle Brut.
We also have some novelties behind the bar right now, with several concoctions, liqueurs, tinctures, and bitters that we have made here in-house! In addition to some excellent new bourbons and whiskeys, there are lots of liquid temptations to sample. In events, don’t miss out on Dining Out For Life at LloydMartin on April 30th! For the third year running, we’re the only establishment on top of the hill that is supporting this important night. For $100 per person, enjoy our special Dining Out for Life tasting menu, and 30% of all proceeds will be directly donated to Lifelong, in support of AIDS service organizations.
