Have you gotten the summer barbecues and beachside picnicking out of your system yet? Don’t worry – there’s still plenty of summer sunshine left before fall officially arrives. But you really should mark your calendars for some exciting upcoming events at LloydMartin…
This Saturday, August 16th, LloydMartin is pleased to offer a special dish in honor of the Trotter Project. Chef Charlie Trotter (pictured) inspired thousands of people to appreciate fine cuisine and also give back, and the Trotter Project does the same today, with charitable programs and events centered around the culinary arts. When Charlie died in November last year, the world lost one of the best chefs to ever live, in our very own Chef Sam Crannell’s opinion. Sam has had the pleasure of eating Chef Trotter’s cuisine, and feels he’s a better chef for it!
On Saturday, LloydMartin will be supporting the Trotter project with a Poached Salmon dish with lobster potatoes and a veal stock reduction. For each order of the featured dish, we will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to the Trotter Project. Plus, each guest who orders this special dish will also receive a sweet surprise course!
Social hour is BACK! Enjoy from 5-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Click here to check out the bar snacks – all under $10 each! Draft beers are $3 each, all bottled beer is 50 percent off, wines by the glass are $2 off and cocktails are $8 each.
And along with social hour, we’re excited to announce a new member to the LloydMartin team: Shane! He’s our new bartender, and he’s pretty cool. To help you get to know him better, we’ll be having a fun bit of trivia about Shane every night that he works. Come check in at LloydMartin, meet Shane, and if you guess the night’s trivia correctly, you could win something great – like 50 percent off your drinks for the night!
We’ve spread the word a little bit about the VUDE dinner coming up in September, but the date has changed. The guest dinner at the VUDE with Hand of God Wines will now take place on Sunday, September 14th. The theme for that dinner will still be the ‘Past, Present and Future’, featuring a food journey with Chef Sam.
You might have heard about our NW Peaks dinner – well, we’ve decided to change things around a bit in honor of our 3rd anniversary! For October 3rd and 4th, it’s 1,100 Days of LloydMartin (yep, we’ve lasted longer than Scheherazade). NW Peaks is providing the jockey box so that we can taste a full variety of draft beers. Chef Sam will be cooking up our favorite 10 dishes as tapas, so that guests can come and eat as much as they like! The price is $50 per person at the door for as much food as you want. Beer and other beverages will be available for purchase. If you’re absolutely certain you’re coming, we recommend calling ASAP to get your name on the list for the 32 half-priced tickets (16 available each night, limit 2 per reservation, drinks not included). Call the restaurant to purchase yours: 206-420-7602.
And finally, the Lamb Jam Seattle 2014 is coming up on November 2nd. About 600 people will be showing up to watch 16 of Seattle’s top chefs battle it out over lamb, with celebrity judges, local beer and wine, and tons of lamb to enjoy. Click here to check out last year’s event – more details to come when the Lamb Jam folks release it.
See you soon!
